Partha Datta Ray
CEO & Founding CTO
Partha is the CEO as well as Principal Investigator (PI) of multiple NSF awarded AI/ML research projects at Albeado, a venture funded Technology start-up based in Santa Clara, California. Albeado’s proprietary AI/ML framework PRISM™ (Predictive Risk Identification and Systemic Mitigation) delivers “data driven yet explainable” analysis and predictions for complex interconnected systems. He founded Albeado to build AI/ML systems which lets planners, operators, designers and support engineers to determine from observed data what a large complex system – like an 5G/LTE mobile network, an electric power grid or even evolution of cancer in the human body – is doing at any given moment of time. And even more importantly, what it will do in the future. While pursuing a PhD. in Applied Artificial Intelligence targeting very large silicon (VLSI) design automation, he joined AT&T Bell Labs where he worked on early neural network R&D and built AI systems for determining operational state of complex networks and predicting performance of communication systems. In the past, he has directed multiple industrial labs and business units in areas of EDA Software as well as ASIC design. Some of his prior startups were acquired by Mentor Graphics, Agere (now Intel), L&T InfoTech and Telerate (now Dow Jones). He has eight granted and pending patents and multiple peer reviewed publications.
Jim LaChance
Chief Strategy Officer
Mr. LaChance has been a portfolio manager specializing in high-yield bonds, distressed securities and private equity and debt for over 25 years. for the past 12 years Mr. LaChance has served as strategic advisor, interim senior management and director to several companies. Mr. LaChance worked for Satellite Asset Management, L.P., a New York based investment management fund with approximately $7 billion dollars under management from 2005 to 2007. Prior to Satellite, he was a partner at Post Advisory Group, LLC, an $8 billion investment management firm in Los Angeles and also previously managed hedge funds for LibertyView Capital Management. Mr. LaChance currently serves as independent Director of Terran Orbital, a private satellite manufacturer and operator. over the past 6 years he was a director at Energy XXI (Chairman), Eletson (co-lead independent), and Aspire (executive Chairman). prior to that, he was Director at Northern Offshore Ltd., serving as chairman from 2005 to 2012 and interim president and CEO from November 2009 to July 2010. Horizon Lines, Inc., a domestic shipping company, where he had served from 2008 to 2015 and was audit and finance committee chairman. Mr. LaChance also served on the Boards of Global Aviation (Chairman) and FriendFinder Network (lead independent and audit committee chairman). Mr. LaChance earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Northeastern University and a master's degree in business administration from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
Razvan Bohatel
Chief Software Architect
Razvan has over 23 years of experience in the software and IT industry. At Albeado, Razvan is responsible for the architecture and design of the PRISM Causal AI platform with a clear focus on flexibility, scalability and ease of integration. Over the years, Razvan has led the design and development of numerous solutions that brought the benefits of Albeado’s Causal AI technology to customers across various industries including Healthcare, Telecommunications, Retail, Manufacturing and more. Before Albeado, Razvan has led multiple teams, providing integration and development services as well as customs engineering for companies like Intellisync, Nokia and Microsoft. Much of this time he was focused on the development and integration of complex and highly scalable data management and coherence solutions including heterogeneous database synchronization solutions. Razvan earned his MSc in Computer Science from the Technical University of Cluj Napoca, Romania.
Huan Meng, PhD
Senior AI Engineer
Huan studied at Beijing (Peking) University and California Institute of Technology, earned his Ph.D in Planetary Sciences from the University of Arizona, and worked as a research scientist for more than a decade with a track record of notable accomplishments in astronomy. At Albeado Huan leads the development of conventional and causal AI/ML modeling pipeline and their application to healthcare and industrial problems. He has been instrumental on developing the tool set which combines knowledge graphs and causal models to improve accuracy and reliability of traditional AI.
Vikram Srinivasan, PhD
Marketing & Customer Solutions
PhD from UC San Diego, Adjunct Professor IISc, Ex Director - Data Engineering Target, Ex Director Bell Labs, Ex. Assistant professor NUS Singapore. A seasoned serial entrepreneur and technology leader, Vikram has a proven track record of building highly innovative product and technology teams in both large enterprises and startups. His career spans academia (National University of Singapore, Indian Institute of Science), research labs (Bell Labs), and global enterprises (Target, Alcatel Lucent). Vikram has also founded successful startups, including Zettata and Needl.ai, where he combines vision and execution to bring transformative technology to life.
Gyan Ranjan, PhD
Marketing & Customer Solutions
Gyan received his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota for his work on graph and network theoretic analysis. With his academic research and product development experience in areas of complex networks, algebraic graph theory and state explainability, In the past, he has worked at Boeing Research, Symantec Corp., C1X Inc. and Ericsson. His research interests include predictive analytics, complex networks, algebraic graph theory and explainability of systems. He is also a visiting Professor at the Dept. of Comp. Science at UC Davis, where he teaches graduate courses in data and graph theoretic analysis and its application to the learning paradigm.
Mitra Datta Ray
Head of Operations
Mitra joined Albeado in 2018 as head of operations. Mitra brings more than 30 years of Technology and IT services management experience in large enterprises like FMC Corporation, Cognizant Technology Solutions where she headed operations for multiple business units for more than 20 years as well as startups like Bizrate (comparative shopping search engine) and Kyvos (big data mining). Mitra earned her MBA from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management, her Bachelor's in Pharmacy from Bombay University and is a certified Program Management Professional, mentoring and training PMs for more than 20 years.
